Fine Art

Over the years, the distinction between photography and painting has become somewhat blurred. Many fine artists capture their subjects with photography and then return to their studio to create paintings with near photographic detail.

And today some fine art photographers use photography to capture subjects and like their artist counterparts, they return to their studios, but instead of creating paintings that look like photography, the fine art photographer and use specialized computers and software programs to create photographs that are almost impossible to distinguish from paintings.

However very few artists are photographers and even fewer photographers are
artists. Similar to a great song, which usually results from the
collaborative effort between a talented writer and singer, Douglas and
Dennis have teamed up to create the marriage of photography and fine art.

Whether the art is created with real or virtual paint and brushes, discriminating artists and fine art photographers both use the Giclee (ZHEE-CLAY) process to produce limited editions from their originals.

Giclee is a French word that translates closely to "to spray". More recently, is has come to describe the de facto standard of producing museum-quality reproductions. Giclee printing process incorporates a state-of-the-art, eight color high-resolution printer specifically developed for creating museum-quality fine art reproductions and archival-quality inks.

By laying down over 3 million droplets of ink per square inch, per color, the detail and texture in the highlights, mid-tones and shadows, and the achievement of a wider color gamut creating colors that are vibrant, precise and so close to your original that it's virtually impossible to tell them apart.

Special, light-fast inks coupled with constant media testing and monitoring have set the standard for archival durability. In addition, canvas prints are sealed with our exclusive optically clear liquid-vinyl topcoat that completely protects the print from water/moisture damage, and contains UV-inhibitors, blocking 95% of the damaging UV-rays, adding years of life to the prints.
